This trade is ideally suited for non trending markets, however it can also product great results in a moving market just as long as the investor who is trading this strategy understands it thouroughly and has been properly educated on how to work the trade and most importantly how to correctly adjust.

Stock trading and long term investing are two very different approaches in the stock market. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. So, what are they and how do they work?

A trailing stop is simply a stop loss order that moves up as the stock moves up but doesn't move down as the stock moves down. For instance a 10% trailing stop on a $100 stock would start off at $90 if the stock moves up to $110 the stop would also come up to $99. But if the stock fell at this point the stop would stay at the same level and get you out if it dropped to $99 or lower, thus limiting your losses while maximizing your gains.

The pip may sound simple, but it is the central part of the pip Forex market. When you obtain pips, you make a profit. But what exactly is the function of pips and what are they worth?
